The Mentor Newark app aims to create a secure and engaging environment for students and mentors associated with the Newark Board of Education to facilitate their communication. Upon receiving administrative approval for your account, you will be paired with a mentee or mentor, initiating your dialogue. The main feed provides access to ongoing conversations and additional messages from program administrators.
Incentives for participation include opportunities to compete for weekly and monthly awards based on communication activity. Increased interaction will translate into more points; however, it is essential that these interactions reflect genuine conversations. An administrator will review communications prior to award distribution, and repetitive messaging may lead to disqualification from the competition.
